WNBA Superstar Is Suddenly Being Called ‘Taylor Swift 2.0’

Taylor Swift and Caitlin Clark have maintained a strong friendship, but beyond it, they share a comparable  level of professionalism.

This was personally witnessed by Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White, who recently made a headline-grabbing comparison between the two.

In a teaser shared by Bird’s Eye View hosted by WNBA icon Sue Bird, the 48-year-old head coach revealed what she admired the most about the Fever guard.

“With Caitlin, you know she’s a hard worker because of what she’s been able to accomplish,” she told the former basketball superstar during her guest appearance on the podcast. “But until you see that there is no wasted movements, no wasted reps, no wasted anything, you just have such level of respect for how she goes about her work every day.”

Moreover, White also pointed out her similarities to the pop star, noting that both are constantly in the public eye, facing huge expectations yet they manage to stay focused and excel in their respective fields.

“Understanding the spotlight that she’s on, understanding the weight that she carries because of who she is, she’s literally like Taylor Swift 2.0,” she continued, adding, “Somehow, she’s able to compartmentalize and come to the gym, get everything that she has to get done. She’s off doing everything all the time. But when she’s there, she’s working.”

In addition to White, her former coach at the Iowa Hawkeyes echoed the same praise for the WNBA star.

Lisa Bluder, the former head coach at the University of Iowa, emphasized the 23-year-old’s eagerness to learn and her drive to become the best player she could be.

“Caitlin wanted to be her best,” she told Elise Devlin of The Athletic. “She wanted to be coached, as well as any of the really good players that I’ve been around. Every one of them, they weren’t know-it-alls. They knew they could get better and continued to get better.”

Like Clark, the “Bad Blood” hitmaker also possesses grit and drive, which are evident in her numerous chart-topping albums and record-breaking achievements.

This was proven during the Netflix documentary Miss Americana, when the music sensation was told that her album Reputation received no nominations in the four major Grammy categories.

However, instead of getting discouraged, she responded, “I just have to make a better record.”

Lo and behold, she not only delivered award-winning albums – from Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, The Tortured Poets Department and her most recent The Life of a Showgirl but also delivered the highest-grossing concert tour of all time during The Eras Tour.
