As a wave of players returned to their teams following the end of the 2025 FIBA women’s basketball EuroBasket tournament, several players were released.
The Golden State Valkyries were active when Julie Vanloo, Cecilia Zandalasini and Janelle Salaun returned to the lineup.
After the return of all three players, they wound up releasing 27-year-old rookie, Chloe Bibby.
“Roster Update: The Golden State Valkyries have waived guard forward Chloe Bibby,” posted the official social media account of the Golden State Valkyries. “Thank you, Chloe.”
Golden State also made the unexpected decision to waive Vanloo after she returned from her overseas assignment with the Belgium National Team.
Chloe Bibby was playing in her first season with the Golden State Valkyries and first season in the WNBA before being released.
