The first-ever WNBA game played in South Dakota is “coming to Sioux Falls next month” as the Mercury and Sky will face off at the Sanford Pentagon on April 25 in a preseason game at 3pm CT. Tickets go on sale on March 25. The Mercury will also “host a youth basketball clinic at the Sanford Pentagon on Friday, April 24.” The camp is for girls in grades 3-8 and will be hosted by Mercury players and coaches (DAKOTA NEWS NOW, 3/23). The Mercury will then return home for a preseason game against the Japan Women’s Basketball National Team at Mortgage Matchup Center on April 29. This marks the third time the two teams have met in an exhibition game, with the other times coming in 2012 and 2013. Both preseason games will be broadcast on Arizona’s Family 3TV (Mercury).
