The WNBA’s Golden State Valkyries have announced their inaugural season schedule, including their very first game and home opener on May 16 against the Los Angeles Sparks.
The Valkyries will play 44 games during the 2025 season, including 22 home games at Chase Center in San Francisco.
The team, which plays in the WNBA’s Western Conference, will host 14 weekend games at Chase Center and eight weekday games, according to team officials.
The Valkyries will also host two five-game homestands, one in June and the other at the end of August and beginning of September.
The team will announce its broadcast schedule at an unspecified later date, along with the rest of the 13-team league.
The Valkyries, an expansion team affiliated with the Golden State Warriors, will get to pick a player from a pool of “unprotected players” from each of the other 12 WNBA teams during the league’s expansion draft on Friday.
The Valkyries are headquartered in Oakland and play their games in San Francisco.
