The Ireland Women’s National Team squad has been confirmed for their remaining UEFA Women’s Nations League Group 2 games away to Türkiye and home to Slovenia.

Head Coach Carla Ward has selected 24 players for two games that Ireland need to win in order to have a chance of securing promotion to League A, as they currently trail Group leaders Slovenia.

The first game sees Ireland take on Türkiye in Istanbul on Friday, May 30th with the game kicking off at 18:00 Irish Time (20:00 local time). They will then finish up this Group campaign by hosting Slovenia in Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork on Tuesday, June 3rd.

Injuries rule out Heather Payne (Achilles) and Leanne Kiernan (Quad), while Tara O’Hanlon, Jamie Finn, Lily Agg and Jess Ziu are still recovering from long-term injuries.

Veteran defender Louise Quinn has been included to bring her leadership to the squad ahead of retiring this summer, while Megan Connolly returns after missing the back-to-back wins over Greece in April.

There is a first call-up for Adelaide United forward Erin Healy, who qualifies through her Monaghan-born Grandfather. Originally from San Diego, USA, the 24-year-old has scored eight goals in her debut season in the A-League.

Captain Katie McCabe will link up with the squad in Türkiye following the UEFA Women’s Champions League Final, where she aims to become the fourth Irish woman to pick up a winners’ medal for Arsenal.

Supporters are encouraged to secure their seat for the team’s return to Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the game against Slovenia which has a 18:00 kick-off – set by UEFA to ensure all final group games start at the same time.

Both games will be broadcast live on RTÉ2 and on the RTÉ Player.
