PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Buffalo State women’s soccer team clinched their seventh win of the year, matching their win total from 2023, in a tough battle against the Plattsburgh State Cardinals.

Olivia Kilmer (Hammondsport, NY/Avoca) and Kaylee Valentic (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) both scored with for the Bengals, with Kilmer leading the team with three shots on goal.
Addy Williams (Grapevine, TX/Grapevine) finished the day with one save in net, playing the full 90 minutes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bengals came into Field House Complex a bit sleepy from the long drive, as they allowed an early goal from the Cardinals in the ninth minute of play. However, the Bengals would answer back with a goal of their own from Valentic in the 21st minute, tying the game 1-1.
The game would remain tied at 1-1 heading into halftime, as both teams would continue pressuring each other’s defense but to no avail.
In the second half, things would open up for the Bengals as the constant pressure pushed the Cardinals back, leading to a 56th minute goal from Kilmer, which would end up becoming the game-winning goal for the Bengals.
The Bengals outshot the Cardinals 15 to 3, with 8 shots on goal for the Bengals.

Alexis Patrick scored the lone goal for the Cardinals.
Lily Bailey made six saves in net, on 90 minutes of play.
