POTSDAM, NY – The Buffalo State women’s soccer team won their first SUNYAC matchup of the season after defeating the Potsdam Bears with a final score of 2-1 on the Maxcy Turf Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Kilmer got the Bengals on the board less than one minute into the first half after a deep pass from Below.
Both sides were quiet the rest of the half as both goalies made saves in the final minutes to keep the score 1-0 Buffalo State.
After the break, Potsdam came out with an early goal to even the score at 1-1.
Just over ten minutes later, Stevenson scored after a quick touch-pass from Michel to give the Bengals the lead.
Williams made one save down the stretch to preserve the Bengals win.
Overall, the Bengals outshot Potsdam 20-9 overall with ten shots on goal.
FOR THE FOES
Meg Napolean scored the lone Potsdam goal with Megan Fry making eight saves in net.
