KANSAS CITY, Mo. | United Soccer Coaches – McKendree University women’s soccer bounced back from their conference weekend with a strong shutout victory on Sunday, maintaining their position in the national poll at No.23, as announced by United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday afternoon. This marks the fourth consecutive week that the Bearcats have been ranked, with this week also seeing another GLVC program entering the poll. The Bearcats are also ranked No.5 in the Midwest regional rankings released by the association after the weekend games. McKendree currently holds an 8-1-0 record, with a 4-1-0 standing in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. After a loss to Drury on a rainy Friday night, the squad bounced back to secure a commanding victory on Sunday at Leemon Field, finishing the weekend with a 1-1-0 record. The Bearcats are gearing up to face Lincoln in Jefferson City and Missouri S&T in Rolla on October 4th and 6th, respectively, for their upcoming conference matches.
