To clarify, AUDI, styled in all caps and without the four-ring logo, is a separate brand exclusively for electric vehicles (EVs) in the Chinese market.
During this month’s Guangzhou Auto Show, Zheng presented AUDI’s latest EV concept. This collaboration signifies more than just a partnership; it embodies AUDI’s aim to connect with a younger, tech-savvy, and sustainability-focused audience.
“Our new products will embody the best of both worlds — Audi DNA and Chinese innovation,” stated Gernot Doellner, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.
The AUDI E concept demonstrates this ambition, featuring:
- Performance: Dual-motor quattro drivetrain with 570 kW of power, accelerating 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds.
- Range: A 100-kWh battery providing over 700 km per charge and fast charging capabilities.
- Design: Minimalistic yet luxurious, with aerodynamic lines, advanced lighting, and a Chinese-inspired interior showcasing 3D lamella wood and natural lighting.
“Zheng embodies the spirit of AUDI: pioneering, courageous, and expressive,” explained Fermin Soneira, CEO of the Audi-SAIC Cooperation Project. “Her accomplishments and determination align closely with our vision for the future of mobility.”
Standing next to the sleek new concept car, Zheng remarked, “The AUDI E concept truly embodies Audi’s understanding of the aspirations of my generation.”
With Zheng as their ambassador, AUDI aims to strengthen its ties with China’s dynamic market, laying the groundwork for a sustainable and innovative future in premium mobility. (source: China Daily)
