CLEVELAND – The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced its Athletes of the Week for November 11, with Kenyon College sophomore guard Susannah Zimmerman earning the Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week honor.
Zimmerman paced the Owls in their season-opening win over the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, leading the team with 18 points on an efficient 6-for-9 shooting, including 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 at the charity stripe. The sophomore also added two rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 28 minutes of play. Zimmerman came up big down the stretch, knocking down three of her four three-pointers in the final quarter to help secure the win for the Owls.
The weekly award marks Zimmerman’s first NCAC recognition and the first Athlete of the Week honor for the women’s basketball program since November 2023.
Zimmerman and the Owls will look to carry their strong start as they host Heidelberg University for their home opener later today at 7:00 p.m.
