The World Boxing Association (WBA) Championships Committee has issued a call for a Purse bid to determine the promotional rights for the cruiserweight championship bout between Gilberto Ramirez and Yuniel Dorticos, scheduled to take place in Houston, Texas, on August 27th.
Both fighters’ teams received the communication through official channels on Friday. The Purse bid will be overseen by Julio Thyme, the Vice Chairman of the committee, at 11:00 a.m. (local time).
The minimum bid amount to secure the rights for the fight is US $200,000.00, with the purse split as 75% for champion Ramirez and 25% for challenger Dorticos.
Additionally, on the same day, the Purse bid for the bridgerweight world title fight between Muslim Gadzhimagomedov and Leon Harth will also be conducted.
