The Ireland Women’s National Team will play their home games in Tallaght Stadium and Aviva Stadium as part of the UEFA EURO 2025 Qualifying Play-Offs.

After defeating World No 2 France in their final Group A3 game in July, the Girls in Green secured a seeded spot for the Play-Off series that will be played over two rounds as they pursue their first ever European Championships appearance.

In Round 1 of the Qualifying Play-Offs, Ireland will face Georgia in a two-legged tie with the second game set for Tuesday, October 29th in Tallaght Stadium with kick-off at 19:30.

If Ireland advances to Round 2, they will face either Cymru or Slovakia in a two-legged tie with the home game to be held at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, December 3rd at 19:30. The winner of that tie will secure a spot at the EURO 2025 finals tournament in Switzerland.

Ireland WNT Head Coach Eileen Gleeson expressed her delight: “We’re thrilled to have both Tallaght Stadium and Aviva Stadium confirmed for the European Qualifying Play-Off stages.

“Tallaght Stadium has played a significant role in the Women’s National Team journey and we eagerly anticipate another incredible experience created by our amazing fans.

“If we progress to Round 2 of the Play-Offs, the Aviva Stadium will be a fitting venue for what could be another historic moment in Irish women’s football.

“Playing in front of our home crowd is always a privilege for the team. The support of our fans makes a huge difference for the girls and potentially finishing our EURO 2025 qualifying campaign in front of a packed Aviva Stadium would truly be magical.

“For now, our complete focus is on Phase 1 of the qualifiers and our matches against Georgia. We can’t wait to see everyone back in our home stadiums soon.”

Ireland last faced Georgia at Tallaght Stadium in November 2021, securing a record 11-0 victory. This upcoming matchup will mark the 33rd official game for the WNT at the Dublin 24 venue.

If they progress to Round 2 of the Play-Off series, the WNT will return to Aviva Stadium for the fourth time.

Tickets for the Georgia game will be available for general sale starting Friday, September 13th, while tickets for the Round 2 game will go on sale from Friday, November 1st.

Both games will be broadcast live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player.
