TEMPE, Ariz. – The NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Team Championships rolls on with Super Regional weekend, as the final 16 teams in each draw will gather from May 9-10 across various host sites.
The two No. 1 seeds in both the Men’s and Women’s brackets, the Wake Forest Men and Georgia Women, remain in contention for a team title, as do last spring’s champions in the TCU Men and Texas A&M Women.
Super Regional play will kick off with nine matchups on Friday, May 9 beginning at 3 p.m. EST. The winners will advance to the quarterfinals at host-site Baylor in Waco, Texas.

One of the most fascinating matchups in either draw will see two cross-town rivals battle it out in the heart of Los Angeles, as storied Men’s programs USC and UCLA will meet at the Bruins’ Los Angeles Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. The Trojans have taken the first two matchups this spring, both by a 4-3 edge.
It’s a return of the West Coast powerhouses in the Men’s draw, as USC, UCLA and Stanford are all in the Super Regionals together for the first time since 2019. This trio of programs have accounted for nearly 70 percent of all championships in men’s tennis history.
More than half of the Men’s programs are looking to replicate the magic of TCU last spring when it captured its first national championship in team history. Ten of the 16 schools remaining have yet to win a team title, including Ohio State, which has been the runner-up twice since 2018.
Should the No. 7 Virginia Men win, it would mark the third title in the past four seasons for head coach Andres Pedroso’s Cavaliers and their seventh since 2013. Virginia will host No. 10 Arizona on Saturday afternoon in Charlottesville.
In Columbus, No. 5 Ohio State is set to host No. 12 Mississippi State for a rematch from last year’s Super Regional when the Buckeyes outdid the Bulldogs, 4-1. Mississippi State has now reached the Sweet 16 in six of its past seven seasons, while the Buckeyes sport a perfect 40-0 record in NCAA Tournament matches at home in Columbus.
In the Women’s bracket, nine schools are eyeing their first team title, including Michigan, which earned a No. 3 seed for the second straight season. The Wolverines are set to clash with No. 14 Texas on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor.
An all-ACC tilt is slated for Friday afternoon in Chapel Hill between No. 5 North Carolina and No. 12 NC State. The Tar Heels have bested the Wolfpack in the first two meetings this spring by a combined score of 8-4, as the two last squared off in the conference championship semis on April 19.
A pair of unseeded Women’s squads finding their groove at the right time are set to battle in Stillwater. The Oklahoma State Women, fresh off a huge upset of No. 6 Oklahoma in Norman in the Second Round, will host Stanford on Saturday, seeking their first quarterfinals appearance since 2017. Stanford knocked off No. 11 Texas Tech, 4-1, in Lubbock last weekend in the Second Round.
The top-seeded Georgia Women are the team to beat on the road to Waco, which is trying to win this tournament for the first time in 25 seasons. The Bulldogs, awaiting unseeded Cal in the Super Regionals, have had their chances to do so in recent years, qualifying for the final twice since 2019.
Standing in their way could be No. 2 Texas A&M, the reigning national champion, which enters its Super Regional showdown with UCLA sporting a 27-3 record.
