Three American Boxers in 2025: Omari Jones

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Team U.S.A. endured a largely disappointing time in boxing, with Omari Jones (2-0, 2 KOs) being the only shining light, collecting a bronze medal, to become the only U.S. medallist – Male or Female. Since turning professional with Matchroom Boxing, Jones has impressed in his two professional bouts thus far, stopping Alessio Mastronunzio and William Jackson.

The future looks bright for “Banger,” who has an impressive jab, which he utilises well to control the distance in his fights. He also picks his punches and carries plenty of power. Under the guidance of Eddie Hearn, Jones should have plenty of opportunities in the remainder of 2025 and beyond.

Steven Navarro

Steven Navarro (6-0, 5 KOs) made his professional debut on a Matchroom card, but soon committed his future to Top Rank. An impressive amateur who has adapted seamlessly to the pro ranks, competing at super flyweight. Navarro is impressive at mixing his attacks and varying the angles. He possesses good lateral movement, which enables him to avoid his opponents attacks. At 21 years old, it feels like there is so much more to come from the Los Angeles native.

Keon Davis

Keon Davis (3-0, 2 KOs) is the youngest sibling in his family with Keyshawn becoming a world champion at lightweight, while the oldest brother Kelvin remains unbeaten. Keon is still in the infancy of his career but has impressed greatly in his three fights so far.

At 6’3”, Davis has the physical attributes to be a big problem for anyone in the welterweight division. He controls the distance well in his fight, using his jab impressively. He is thoughtful with his punches and wastes very little. Davis will be back in action on June 7, alongside his brothers at the Scope Arena in Norfolk.
