Just a few months after revealing she is expecting her first child, Anna Karolina Schmiedlova tied the knot with her longtime partner and fellow tennis professional Lukas Klein on August 2, 2025. The romantic summer wedding took place at the scenic Terra Parna Winery in Sucha nad Parnou, Slovakia, surrounded by family, friends, and vineyards under the golden August sun.
In April 2025, the 30-year-old three-time WTA titlist pleased her followers by announcing pregnancy, thus explaining her absence from the WTA Tour and the Billie Jean King Cup:
“It’s a personal matter for me, but I wanted to share this to avoid any confusion in the coming months. My partner and I are very happy and excited.”
Since her last appearance on court in February, where she lost in the qualifying rounds of the Qatar TotalEnergies Open, Schmiedlova has taken a step back from competition to focus on motherhood and family. Her husband, 27-year-old Lukas Klein, is currently Slovakia’s top-ranked ATP player, sitting at No. 119 in the world.
With their baby on the way, the couple chose not to wait any longer to officially seal their love. The bride looked radiant in a simple yet elegant white dress with long sleeves and a flowing skirt that gently revealed her growing baby bump.
