The 2025 Vuelta a España is upon us, and Cyclingnews is here with all the information you could possibly need on TV coverage and live streams so you can watch the final men’s Grand Tour of the season in all its glory.

The 2025 Vuelta a España kicked off for the first time in Italy on August 23 with the opening stages held in Torino, Novara, Alba, Limone, San Maurizio Canavese, Ceres and Susa then stopping for a finish in France before making its way into Spain on the fifth day of racing.

This year’s route includes 10 summit finishes, an ascent of the mythical Angliru and a long, late individual time trial and a team time trial in the three-week Grand Tour.

The final men’s Grand Tour of the season is expected to be a spectacle, and every stage will be broadcast live, which adds up to almost 110 hours of viewing pleasure. The Vuelta a España is shown in 190 countries across 100 channels – 60 of them live – and that all adds up to more than a billion hours worth of viewing across the total audience.

Vuelta a España on TV today

Racing on Friday continues with a second consecutive day across the high summits of the Pyrenees, this time with a mountaintop finish back in Spain and a new leader in red, Torstein Træen (Bahrain Victorious).

The peloton begins in Andorra la Vella, and crosses the Spanish border just 8.3km into the stage, then continues 180.3km to the Cerler ski resort in the provence of Huesca. A trio of challenging climbs lead to the ascent to Cerler, a first-category incline that featured more than 30 years ago in the Vuelta.

The longest climb of the route is the first one, Port del Cantó, at 24.7km and has irregular gradients that average 4.4%. Then a pair of category 2 passes must be cleared – Puerto de la Creu de Perves (5.7km at 6.3%) and coll de l’Espina (7.1km at 5.5%), to set up the 12.1km finale to Cerler.

The Cerler climb averages 5.8%, but is much tougher in the first half and should create more significant GC gaps which resulted from the Pal finish in Andorra one day before.
