LEXINGTON, Ky. — On Friday, the Kentucky women’s tennis team announced the full spring 2026 schedule. The Wildcats will play nine non-conference matches before heading into Southeastern Conference play, where they will face all 15 teams this spring before the conference tournament and a hopeful NCAA birth.
The women’s tennis squad will open play on January 17 at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex with a doubleheader against Chicago State and Eastern Kentucky later that afternoon. The next weekend they will continue play in the Bluegrass by hosting Saint Louis and Miami (OH) for another doubleheader on January 25.
The Wildcats will hit the road the following weekend to Durham, N.C. to take on three opponents: Duke, James Madison, and Queens (NC). They will take on the home team who qualified for the NCAA Tournament last spring, Duke, on January 30, followed by a doubleheader the next day against James Madison and Queens (NC) on January 31.
The program will wrap up their non-conference slate by traveling to Purdue on February 8 and hosting Xavier on February 14.
Moving on to SEC play, Kentucky will hit the road for the first three conference matches of the season. They will first head to Knoxville to take on Tennessee, a 2025 NCAA qualifier, on February 21. They will then take on Alabama in Tuscaloosa on February 26 and Mississippi State on February 28.
The following weekend they will be back at home hosting Arkansas and Oklahoma on March 6 & 8. Oklahoma was a 2025 NCAA Tournament qualifying team last spring.
Moving on the road once again, the Wildcats will travel to Gainesville, Fla. On March 12 and Auburn on March 12, taking on a Sooners team that made it to the NCAA Tournament in 2025.
The Texas Longhorns will come to Lexington for the first time since joining the SEC on March 20, before turning around and traveling to College Station on March 22 to take on a Texas A&M squad who reached the NCAA National Championship match in 2025.
Missouri will come to town on March 27, followed by Vanderbilt on March 29. The Wildcats last two road tests of the regular season will be a trip to visit 2025 NCAA Champion Georgia Bulldogs on April 2 and South Carolina on April 4.
The Kentucky women’s tennis squad will close out the regular season at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex against LSU on April 9 and Ole Miss on April 11.
The Wildcats will have their final chance to play their way into the NCAA Tournament at the SEC Championship, which will be hosted in Norman, Oklahoma by the Sooners from April 15-19.
The women’s tennis Wildcats’ road to the 2026 NCAA Championship will bring lots of competition, with 11 opponents in the regular season making the field last year. However, with strong leadership and returned experience from four student-athletes, along with some new additions, Kentucky aims to hear their name called once again on NCAA selection day.
