Paige Bueckers scored 16 points as the Breeze opened the 2026 Unrivaled season with a 73-62 win over the Hive, improving to a perfect 2-0 start.
The Breeze showcased the star pairing of Cameron Brink and Bueckers, who joined forces this season. Brink, an established presence with the Los Angeles Sparks, earned selection to the Lunar Owls a year ago, while Bueckers entered the WNBA as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft by the Dallas Wings and is now in her inaugural season with Unrivaled.
Bueckers led the Breeze with 16 points, adding 10 rebounds, six assists and one block while shooting 50 percent from the field. Brink provided a spark off the bench with 14 points and five rebounds.
Rickea Jackson finished with 16 points and six rebounds, while Dominique Malonga added 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Fans hyped Bueckers, Brink and the young-core Breeze for getting off to a perfect 2-0 start.
In the loss, Sonia Citron finished with 16 points and three rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell added 14 points and a steal, but the pair could not lift the Hive to their first win.
The Hive entered the matchup at 0-1 after opening the season with a loss to Breanna Stewart and the Mist.
After three quarters, the target score was set with the Breeze holding a 61-46 advantage. The Breeze closed it out, while Paige Bueckers sealed the win with a two-point basket to reach the target score.
The Breeze will face Chelsea Gray, Lexie Hull, Azura Stevens and the Rose on Sunday.
