Arsenal have completed the signing of Swedish international forward Rosa Kafaji from BK Häcken on a permanent deal.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Gunners this morning.
Full details of Kafaji’s contract have been left undisclosed by Arsenal, however, the player is said to have signed on with the North Londoners for the long-term.
The 21-year-old started her senior playing career with hometown club AIK. She went on to make close to 50 competitive appearances for the club and won the Elitettan title in 2020. Kafaji joined BK Häcken in 2022 and she has gone on to score 17 goals in 39 games in the OBOS Damallsvenskan. The youngster also got her first taste of UEFA Women’s Champions League football with BK Häcken.
On the international stage, Kafaji has made nine senior appearances for Sweden in which she has scored one goal.
After joining Arsenal, Kafaji said “It feels amazing to join this club – I’m so happy to be here. I had a very good feeling after speaking to Jonas [Eidevall] and Clare [Wheatley] and it just feels right to be at Arsenal.
“I’m hungry to keep growing and I know this is the right place for me to do that and compete for the biggest trophies. I can’t wait to get started and walk out at Emirates Stadium in front of all our supporters.”
Kafaji is Arsenal’s third senior signing of the summer transfer window.
