Aston Villa forward Daly signs new deal

Aston Villa forward Rachel Daly has signed a new contract with the club.

The Villans announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

It has been reported that the player has signed on again with Aston Villa until summer 2027.

The 33-year-old was Aston Villa’s marquee signing following England’s UEFA Women’s EURO success in summer 2022. Daly has gone on to play a leading role in the Aston Villa side, being an ever-present in the Barclays Women’s Super League in two of her three seasons at the club. She has netted 38 goals in 64 league outings for The Villans. Daly’s goal tally of 22 in the 2022/2023 season saw her win the Barclays Women’s Super League’s Golden Boot.

Daly offers a wealth of experience to Aston Villa. While she boasts world-class quality, she is also a model professional for the club’s young players. Her versatility and know-how of operating in positions across the pitch means that she offers great knowledge to younger teammates throughout the squad. The player is undoubtedly an asset both on and off the pitch for The Villans.

Aston Villa head coach Natalia Arroyo is set for a busy summer building on the foundations that she put down in the second half of this season and further squad news will be announced in due course.
