A big basketball fan, Plaza, who will be starring alongside Kathryn Hahn in the Disney+ series Agatha All Along, recently shared a funny story about her basketball mishap. This marked her second ACL tear while playing the sport.
During a live recording of the podcast A Touch More, Plaza revealed that she tore her ACL playing in a women’s recreation league in Los Angeles in disguise.
“I decided to play disguised as someone else,” Plaza recounted, mentioning that she wore a wig and goggles. “I thought no one would recognize me. But during the game, I went up for a shot and tore my ACL while wearing a wig.”
She continued, “It was pretty embarrassing because I was trying to stay incognito, and then suddenly I had a major injury. I had to be carried off the court, and that’s when everyone started noticing. People were probably wondering, ‘Is that a wig? What just happened?'”
