So far in 2025, the boxing schedule has treated us to several memorable moments, including Oleksandr Usyk becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion for the second time and Terence Crawford dethroning Canelo Alvarez to become the undisputed champion in a third weight class. Despite the boxing schedule being relatively quiet in the last couple of months, we bring you three key fights you can’t miss in October.

Boxing Schedule – three fights to look forward to in October including Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley

On October 25 at the O2 Arena in London, Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs) and Fabio Wardley (19-0-1, 18 KOs) will face off in an intriguing heavyweight clash to decide who will be in pole position to face Usyk, should the Ukrainian choose to fight on after his three-month medical exemption for a back-injury from the WBO has expired.

Parker, who holds the WBO interim title, is in great form, having won his last six fights since losing to Joe Joyce, including wins over Zhilei Zhang and Martin Bakole.

Wardley, who holds the WBA interim title, was being comprehensively outboxed before landing a big right hand to KO Justis Huni in his last fight, showing just what a dangerous fighter he is until the final bell.

Dave Allen vs Arslanbek Makhmudov

On October 11, at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, the rejuvenated Dave Allen (24-7-2, 19 KOs) will face dangerous Russian Arslanbek Makhmudov (20-2, 19 KOs).

Allen is aiming to cause another shock after he delivered a career-best performance last time out, stopping Johnny Fisher in the fifth round, gaining revenge for his controversial split-decision loss to The Romford Bull five months earlier.

A win for Allen could catapult him into a massive fight, but he’s got to overcome the 6′ 5½ Russian, who stopped Ricardo Brown in the first round last time out. This one should provide plenty of fireworks.

Sebastian Fundora vs Keith Thurman

Our final fight to watch in the October boxing schedule is Sebastian Fundora (23-1-1, 15 KOs) vs Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) on October 25 for Fundora’s WBC super welterweight world title, which he successfully defended last time out against Tim Tszyu.

Thurman’s career in recent years has been hampered by injuries and inactivity, with only two fights since losing to Manny Pacquiao in 2019.

He returned after three years out of the ring to dismantle Brock Jarvis at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney earlier this year.

It remains to be seen just how much ability “One Time” has left, but he impressed against Jarvis. Fundora continues to progress with every fight.

This is an intriguing world title clash in the boxing schedule that will take place at the MGM Grand, Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
