Caitlin Clark might be a big name in the world of basketball right now, but her celebrity persona hasn’t taken over her humble, grounded self in any way. The Indiana Fever guard, with heartfelt gestures, always delights her fans.
During a special moment last May, the former Iowa Hawkeyes alumna handed her match-worn shoes to a little girl following Fever’s 81-76 win over the Atlanta Dream. Well, Clark recently did something similar once again.

It’s already public knowledge that the 24-year-old WNBA star is in partnership with sports drink brand Gatorade. Earlier this month, Gatorade released a limited run of an upcoming Rain Berry-flavored beverage. Back in December, during the offseason, Clark shot an ad film for the same that included a surprise appearance by Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton. This commercial also featured a 14-year-old girl named Britt Schellhammer.

Just like many other girls of her age, Britt is a huge Clark fan, and it was a dream come true for her to share the frame with the basketball icon. After filming the commercial, Britt thought she would simply take photos with Clark to have a special memory of this experience. But there was an unexpected surprise waiting for her.

A few days back, in a post on X from Feb. 19, Britt revealed that Clark not only clicked pictures with her but also gave her an autographed pair of Nikes. To be specific, they are the Nike Kobe 6 Protros, from the signature shoe line of the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. “Thank you Caitlin for a signed pair of the Vanessa Bryant Kobe’s!”, the fan girl wrote in her post.
The shoes, having a purple colorway, are dubbed ‘Vanessa Bryants’ after Bryant’s wife. She initially teased them on social media last February. What makes these shoes rare is that they are not yet publicly available. Nike hasn’t shared any details on whether there are plans to release them in the near future.
Undoubtedly, Britt is the luckiest fan on the planet right now to have received Clark’s rare pair of unreleased shoes.
