WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark has proven herself to be fearless when it comes to all things basketball, lighting up the court in her debut season with the Indiana Fever.
But away from the paint, it appears there are some things that do faze her, with Clark opening up this week about her biggest fears in life.
Speaking at The Annika golf tournament ahead of her Pro-Am debut on Wednesday, she revealed a surprising dread: cats.
Rather than the dark, or snakes, or heights, the former Iowa college star revealed it is in fact the common household pet that scares her the most.
‘I really don’t like cats,’ she said, as the room erupted with laughter.

When asked if it is because she is allergic, Clark responded: ‘No, there was this black cat on my street growing up and it was so mean. I’m scarred… so I’m really scared of cats.
‘Sorry if any of you have a cat. I like dogs, a lot!’
Clark played in The Annika Pro-Am on Wednesday, and quickly went viral after her tee shot on the third very nearly hit a spectator in the head.
The WNBA star apologized profusely, but there was no harm done as the spectators raced after the ball in a bid to collect a souvenir from one of the world’s biggest sports stars.
On a later hole, Clark did hit a spectator along one of the fairways, with video showing her signing the ball for her a few moments later.

The performance led to fans joking that she ‘is human after all’, following a season in which she dominated the WNBA on her way to being voted Rookie of the Year.
Clark has been the main reason behind a huge spike in viewership and attendance, after she was drafted No 1 overall by the Fever.
She is now due a few months off before her second season gets underway, but there has been talk of her joining a new money-spinning winter league.
Whether she does or doesn’t, there will also surely be some more rounds of golf in her calendar.
