Claudio Koeb, a 58-year-old Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor was found deceased inside the Gracie Barra Academy in the Fazenda Velha neighborhood of Araucária, Brazil on Friday.
Koeb, known as “Claudinho,” was a 3rd-degree black belt whose body was found around 8 p.m. on August 1.
Students recall an intense training session earlier in the day and grew worried as their instructor would not return messages throughout hte day.
The official cause of Koeb’s death is pending results from Civil Police investigators, though initial reports point to a sudden cardiac arrest, as there were no signs of violence at the scene.
