Chelsea are the current holders of the Subway League Cup

Details of the 2025-26 Subway Women’s League Cup semi-finals have now been confirmed – with both matches taking place on Wednesday, 21st January.

Following victories for Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City in their quarter-final ties prior to the winter break, dates and kick-off times for their semi-final fixtures are as follows:

Arsenal v Manchester United, Wednesday 21 January 2026, 7pm KO, Mangata Developments Stadium, Meadow ParkManchester City v Chelsea, Wednesday 21 January 2026, 7pm KO, Joie Stadium

Broadcast details for each fixture will be confirmed at a later point, with ticket information then being made available on each club’s channels.

The winners of each tie will meet in the Subway Women’s League Cup Final on Sunday, 15th March 2026, 2.15pm kick-off at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, with the game also being broadcast live on BBC One and Sky Sports.

Chelsea are the holders of the cup, having beaten Manchester City 2-1 in last year’s final at Derby’s Pride Park.

Subway Women’s League Cup: the season so far

Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all entered the competition at the quarter-final stage as they were exempt from the group element due to their UEFA Women’s Champions League commitments.

In the last eight, Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 2-0 with goals from Laia Codina and Stina Blackstenius; Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 with goals from Jess Park and Fridolina Rolfo cancelling out Drew Spence’s first-half effort; and Chelsea crushed Liverpool 9-1 with goals from Sam Kerr (2), Wieke Kaptein, Aggie Beever-Jones, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd (3), Sjoeke Nusken and Millie Bright.

Manchester City topped Group A to advance to the knockout stage, and then defeated West Ham United 5-1 to reach the semi-finals. Kerolin and Lauren Kemp had City 2-0 up within ten minutes at Dagenham, and although Riko Ueki got a goal back in the 26th minute, Grace Clinton, Bunny Shaw and Laura Coombs all got on the scoresheet to underline the margin of victory.
