Friday June 27th we seen the return of the Bronze Bomber Deontay Wilder. Wilder making his return to the ring in beautiful Wichita KS, at the Charles Koch Arena to take on the very underrated and extrememly talented Tyrrell Too Real Herndon.

Wilder coming off some recent disappointing performances showed Friday night he still has plenty left in the tank to get back on top of the mountain. Wilder looked poised and more mature and let the fight come to him instead of loading up for one big right hand like in past years.

Wilder looked like a fresh fighter with a dominating jab that brilliantly set up his left hook and straight right. Wilder floored Herndon once in the second round and then again in the 6th. The referee stopped the contest in the 7th do to Herndon’s lack of punch out giving wilder his 43 stoppage of his career. The boxig world is excited to see what’s next for Wilder. Talks with GCC and upcoming fights for wilder are already in the works.

Fight 1: Noah Aldana vs General Lee

Aldana wins by TKO in round 3.

Fight 2: Kayla Williams vs Helen Lucero

Williams wins by unanimous decision.

Fight 3: Joshua Richey vs Chancey Wilson

Wilson wins by unanimous decision.

Fight 4: Marco Romero vs Andre Amaro

Romero wins by KO in the first round.

Fight 5: Jorge Carlos vs Jay Krupp

Carlos wins by TKO in round one.

Fight 6: John Cantrell vs Franklin Sparks

Cantrell wins by KO in round one.

Fight 7: Eric Valencia vs Willie Harris Jr.

Valencia wins by TKO in round one.

Fight 8: Gustavo Trujillo vs Lateef Kayode

Trujillo wins by TKO is round 6.

Fight 9: Jeff Paige vs Aaron Casper

Casper wins by unanimous decision.

Fight 10: Nico Hernandez vs Robert Ledesma

The speed and power of Hernandez appeared to disrupt Ledesma. Hernandez drops Ledesma toward the end of the last round, Ledesma survives the time clock.

Hernandez showed little to no ring rust. The overwhelming speed and power of Hernandez is too much for Ledesma to handle. Hernandez drops Ledesma twice in round two, ending the match by TKO.

Fight 11: Deon Nicholson vs Devonte Williams-

Fill out round one. Nicholson steps it up round two. Much to his word Nicholson ends rhe fight stopping Williams in the third round. Williams said in the preflight press conference he would stop Williams and did just that. What an impressive fight from Nicholson.

Fight 12: Deontay Wilder vs T Herndon

Slow first round, more of a feel out round for both fighters.

Wilder’s height and reach appeared to bother Herndon. Wilder’s jab and check hook seemed to slow down Herndon’s movement away from Wilder’s right hand. Wilder knocks Herndon down with a beautiful check hook at the end of round two.

Wilder’s size advantage appears to bother the flat-footed Herndon. The size and reach of Wilder seemed to prevent Herndon from landing successful blows.

A better round for Herndon as his head movement allowed him to slip through Wilder’s punches, enabling Herndon to land more shots than the previous rounds.

Evenly matched round. Wilder using his reach and Herndon utilizing his head movement, both fighters playing to their strengths and landing powerful punches.

A weary Herndon did not fare well this round. Wilder knocked Herndon down midway thru the round, leaving Herndon unstable on his feet.

A weary Herndon struggled under the determination and speed of Wilder, causing the referee to stop the fight. Good stoppage by the referee, protecting Herndon from receiving further damage.
