Eliud Kipchoge and Sifan Hassan visit NIKE House of Innovations

Two hundred lucky fans were able to witness an interview with Sifan Hassan, sixth place in the the 2025 TCS NYC Marathon (2:24:43) and Eliud Kipchoge, seventeenth in the Men’s elite race (2:14;36) on Sunday, November 3, 2025.

Eliud Kipchoge has now run all even World Marathon Majors (Tokyo, Boston, London, Sydney, Berlin, Chicago and New York), as well as wining 11 World Marathon Majors and two Olympic marathons! Eliud announced yesterday that he will be racing seven marathons in the next two years, on seven continents for his foundation and programs. In the presser, emceed by Coach Bennett, a beloved coach from the NIKE running club program, Eliud told the assembled media and fans that he was ready for this next faze of his career. The zen warrior of the Marathon, (so named by Paula Radcliffe, former World record holder, 2:15:25, in 2003, in the marathon), Eliud Kipchoge has had a long career that included cross country, track and field, and the marathon. Eliud Kipchoge is the most popular male marathoner in the world. Eliud won his first medal on the track over 5,000m in Paris 2023. Four Olympic medals, bronze in Athens 2004, silver in Beijing 2008, both at 5,000 meters. In the marathon, Eliud took gold in Rio 2016, gold in Tokyo 2021 and did not finish in Paris 2024. I was there for his first World Champs win in 2003, first Olympic marathon gold in 2016 Rio and now, his last World marathon Majors. Eliud Kipchoge won his first WMM marathon in 2014.

Sifan Hassan is becoming one of the most popular women marathoners. ” I like crazy,” said a smiling Hassan to Coach B, aka Coach Bennett during the 25 minute interview. Sifan Hassan came onto the running scene in 2013, just as she was given Dutch citizenship. During her entire career, she has represented The Netherlands. She missed the 2013 World Championships, but Sifan did win the European Athletics Cross Country U23 division in one of her very first races as a Dutch citizen. Sifan helped her Dutch team to the bronze medal in cross country!

In the 2014 European Athletics Outdoor championships, Sifan Hasan took the gold in the 1,500 meters. In 2015, Sifan took the bronze in the 1,500 meters. In 2017 London, Sifan took the bronze in the 5,000m. In 2019, Sifan did the crazy 1,500m and 10,000m double, winning both! Six Olympic medals, (three golds, marathon, 10,000m, and 5,000m and three bronze medals, 1,500 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters) from Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024. Sifan has won London 2024 2o25  and Sydney 2025 plus London 2023 and Chicago 2023. In NYC, Sifan Hassan took the sixth in the NYC Marathon.
