In his return to the MMA cage after leaving the UFC, Francis Ngannou now has a new purpose driving him forward. Following a brief venture into boxing and a tragic loss of his 15-month-old son, Ngannou continues to show his warrior spirit.
At the PFL ‘Battle of the Giants’ press conference, Ngannou announced that he will continue fighting in honor of his late son. Despite facing tough times, Ngannou sees this as a way to give purpose to his career – “I didn’t have a chance to fight for my son, man. So, I think this is it,” he stated.
Looking ahead to his upcoming fight on October 19, Ngannou is set to take on Renan Ferreira in the PFL SmartCage. Although their interactions have been respectful so far, tension is building between the two fighters.
During the press conference, Ferreira made a controversial comment about Ngannou’s personal struggles, sparking some backlash from fans. Despite this, Ngannou remains focused on his goal and determined to overcome any challenges in his path.
