MINNEAPOLIS – Illinois fell on the road to Minnesota, 68-61, at Williams Arena on Sunday afternoon.

Three Fighting Illini scorers finished in double figures, including the third-straight 20-point outing for Genesis Bryant.

Bryant scored in double figures for the seventh-consecutive game, registering a team-most 20 points while also totaling six rebounds and two assists.

In her return to her home state, Adalia McKenzie ended the afternoon with 14 points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Kendall Bostic grabbed 15 rebounds, one shy of her season-best output, while accumulating nine points, two blocks, and an assist.

Jasmine Brown-Hagger poured in 10 points and logged three of her four rebounds on the offensive glass. She also tallied a team-high three assists and a steal.

Berry Wallace added eight points, five rebounds, and a steal off the bench, while she connected on two 3-pointers.

Illinois will host No. 23 Iowa at State Farm Center on Thursday in the team’s next contest, with the opening tipoff set for 6 p.m. CT on B1G+. Tickets are still available at FightingIllini.com for the contest between the Fighting Illini and the ranked Hawkeyes.

Genesis Bryant scored a game-high 20 points to go along with six rebounds and two assists.

Posted her third-straight 20-point effort.

Scored in double figures for the 10th time this season and the 60th time in her career.
Has also done so in seven-straight games, extending her season-long streak.


Went 3-for-6 from 3-point range.

Has knocked down multiple 3-pointers in consecutive contests and for the eighth time this season.


Has posted 66 points, 17 rebounds and 18 assists (16.5 pts/4.3 reb/4.5 ast) in four games vs. Minnesota.


Adalia McKenzie scored 14 points and added two rebounds and two assists.

Scored in double figures for the 12th time this season and the 68th time in her career.

Has done so in six-straight games, extending her season-long streak.


Has amassed 63 points, 23 rebounds and eight assists (12.6 pts/4.6 reb/1.6 ast) in five games vs. Minnesota.
Registered multiple steals for the fourth time this season.

Berry Wallace came off the bench to score eight points and grab five rebounds.

The first sub off the bench, entering for the first time with 5:33 remaining in the first quarter.
Recorded her fifth 3-pointer of the season, which she made less than one minute after entering the game for the first time.

Team Notes:


The Illini won the opening tip, and Minnesota scored the opening points of the game on a 3-pointer with 8:27 remaining in the opening quarter.
The Illini had three double-figure scorers (Brown-Hagger, Bryant, McKenzie).
Illinois held Minnesota without a field goal over the final 4:20 of the first quarter to take an 18-15 lead into the second.

Held the Golden Gophers to 0-for-5 from the floor with three turnovers during that span.


The Illini went 4-for-7 from 3-point range as a team in the first quarter.

Illinois’ four 3-pointers were their most in a quarter since also making four in the fourth quarter at Ohio State on Dec. 8.


Illinois strung together a 17-4 run over a five-minute stretch in the third quarter to establish a 44-33 lead with 3:31 remaining, going 5-for-8 from the field during that time.
The Illini have forced double-digit turnovers in all 15 games this season.
