Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) and Manny Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) are scheduled to fight once again.
A press release announced that the pair will clash in a sanctioned professional bout at the Sphere in Las Vegas, NV, on Sept. 19. Fight fans around the world will be able to catch the action live on Netflix. The event will be promoted by Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions in partnership with CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS.
Both men fought each other in 2015 in a bout that was billed as the “Fight of the Century.” Mayweather was the victor via unanimous decision with scores of 118-110 and 116-112 (x2). Eleven years later, the pair get the chance to run it back.

“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history,” said Pacquiao in a press release statement. “The fans have waited long enough—they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix. I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him. As always, I dedicate this fight to my fellow Filipinos around the world and to bringing glory to the Philippines.”
“I already fought and beat Manny once,” said Mayweather in the same press release. “This time will be the same result.”
What should viewers expect?
Information such as fight length and weight class were not disclosed in the press release. Their first fight was a 12-round bout for the WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight world titles. On BoxRec, the rematch is currently being shown as a 12-rounder. The press release also states that undercard and ticket availability “will be announced in the coming weeks.”
Mayweather will be 49 and Pacquiao will be 47 when they clash. Expectations should stay low. Mayweather fought once professionally in the last 10 years, and that came against Conor McGregor, a mixed martial artist. He has fought in a number of exhibitions since, however.
Pacquiao, on the other hand, has been relatively more active. He was still having fights until 2021. Following a roughly four-year layoff after losing to Yordenis Ugás, Pacquiao returned to the professional ranks in 2025. His world title fight against Mario Barrios ended in a draw, but it was clear that the Filipino was no longer the fighter that he once was.
Mayweather-Pacquiao 2 will be heavily promoted and very likely be viewed by tens of millions around the world, if not more. But with both men nearing 50 and inactive as professional boxers over the past few years, it is hard to see how the pair will put on an entertaining contest.
