BIRMINGHAM, Ala. & AUSTIN, Texas – The Gulf South Conference and FloSports have announced an expansion of sports coverage to include soccer, baseball, softball, and women’s lacrosse in their agreement. This expansion comes in year two of a five-year deal that was agreed upon in May 2023.
Starting in Fall 2024, these four additional sports will have regular season and championship events streamed exclusively on FloSports and covered on its digital media channels. This expansion brings the total number of GSC sporting events streamed each year to over 1,300, increasing the value of the media rights agreement to seven figures.
“The GSC has a history of being a leader in Division II, exemplified in 2020 when we were the first Division II conference to partner with FloSports. Since then, our institutions have been committed to enhancing the fan experience,” said GSC Commissioner Matt Wilson.
Chris Keldorf, FloSports Senior Director Rights & Acquisitions, added, “This expansion is a testament to a successful partnership between FloSports and the GSC and comes at the perfect time as we launch our new FloCollege platform.”
The Gulf South partnership expansion enhances FloSports’ NCAA offering and broadens its FloCollege portfolio to include various conferences. Through this partnership, fans can enjoy discounted subscription rates and access to non-conference contests at no extra cost.
Gulf South fans can watch events on the FloSports app by downloading it on their favorite digital and streaming devices. FloSports plans to invest over $50 million in FloCollege to enhance the coverage and quality of all sports across various conferences.
