DAZN PPV, 2:00 pm ET, X Series 017: Danny Aarons vs Danny Simpson. Which of these Dannys will reign supreme atop Danny Mountain? Gotta watch to find out. Why does this cost $39.99 American, even though KSI isn’t fighting? Well, instead of throwing hands, KSI will be telling you to throw your hands… WAY UP IN THE AIR! He’ll be “performing a live concert involving special guests” instead of “boxing” because of a golf-related injury. Is KSI even a musician? I don’t know, man, and this job already gives me enough search engine algorithm problems. You’ll have to investigate that mystery yourselves.
DAZN, 7:30 pm ET, Diego Pacheco vs Maciej Sulecki. Pacheco is still just 23, already a headliner (whatever that means when two guys named Danny are “headlining” a different DAZN show earlier in the day), and keeps passing the eye test while handling business against increasingly serious prospect checkers and gatekeepers. Challenging him this time is the 35 year old Sulecki, who has beaten everyone he’s faced other than Demetrius Andrade and Danny Jacobs. Undercard includes the US debut of 27 year old Mexican junior lightweight Eduardo Nunez, who boasts knockouts in all 26 of his pro victories. Also, Cheavon Clarke and Ginny Fuchs!
