Heavyweight champion Jon Jones responded with a crude comment to an interview with interim titleholder Tom Aspinall, which was eventually deleted but captured in screenshots.
Aspinall recently did an interview with SPORTbible where he accused Jones of avoiding a fight with him. “Fight dodging?” Aspinall said. “That would have to be Jon Jones, wouldn’t it? We know he’s trying to fight ‘Old Man Stipe.’ Well, he’s going to fight Stipe. He’s the fight dodger around here.”

Jon Jones became the heavyweight champion after defeating Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 in March 2023. His first title defense was supposed to be at UFC 295 last November, but Jones had to withdraw due to a pectoral tendon tear during training. In his absence, an interim title fight was held between Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich, with Aspinall winning by knockout in just 69 seconds.
Jon Jones is expected to face Miocic in the main event of UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 16. Meanwhile, Aspinall defended his interim championship by knocking out Curtis Blaydes in just 60 seconds at UFC 304 last month.
Jon Jones strongly responded to Aspinall’s accusation in the interview’s comments section. “This dude literally has my large black c*ck in his mouth every week,” Jones replied. “I’m flattered. I absolutely guarantee he will not win more world championships than me. That’s truly all that matters at the end of the day.
“There’s been many champions, no one like me. I sleep good at night.”
