Judgement Day: Vémola vs. Végh 3 Announced for Epic Stadium Showdown

Last summer, OKTAGON MMA made history by staging a stunning event in the open-air of Eden football stadium, Prague, with over 28,000 fans in attendance. This year, we’re coming back to do it all over again but this time, it will be BIGGER and BETTER than before!

‘Judgement Day‘ will take place on Saturday, June 14, as Karlos Vémola (37-9) and Attila Végh (33-10-2) complete their legendary light heavyweight trilogy at the home of Slavia Prague in the greatest rivalry that the Czech/Slovak MMA scene has ever witnessed. The score is even at 1-1 so OKTAGON 72 will be both men’s final opportunity to prove their superiority once and for all.

The pair first met over five years ago, back in November 2019, in a bout that was dubbed ‘The Fight of the Century’ which set MMA attendance records inside the O2 Arena, Prague. Two national stars collided and it was former Bellator champion, Végh, who knocked out ‘The Terminator’ in just 127 seconds. That devastating loss haunted Vémola, who then made it his sole focus to earn a rematch and gain revenge.

Vémola went on to compete another eleven times while his adversary stayed away from competition until the perfect opportunity arose for them to meet again. In June 2024, OKTAGON MMA hosted our first ever football stadium show and what better headliner than ‘The Rematch of the Century’. The atmosphere was absolutely electric in Stadion Eden and that time around, ‘The Terminator’ got his hand raised after securing a second round submission.

It appeared that both men would retire and walk away from the sport immediately following the conclusion of that event but they only needed a few weeks to realise they could not rest knowing they hadn’t definitively settled their sporting feud. ‘Judgement Day’ is now on the horizon and only one man can go down as the greatest legend on the Czech/Slovak scene and cement their legacy forever.
