This achievement also cements her status as one of the few players to reach the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles at all four Grand Slam tournaments.
By defeating American Danielle Collins 7-5 6-3 in the fourth round of Wimbledon 2024, Krejcikova surpassed her previous best at the grass-court major, which was reaching the round of 16 in 2021. This 2021 Wimbledon run came after Krejcikova had won her first Grand Slam singles title at Roland Garros and her third women’s doubles title at a major tournament.
Next up for Krejcikova in London is a match against Jelena Ostapenko, another Roland Garros champion who has also reached the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles at all Grand Slam events.
