LEBANON, Ill. – For the first time since moving to NCAA Division II, 19th-ranked McKendree University women’s soccer (13-1-6, 11-1-2 GLVC) will play host for one side of the NCAA DII Midwest Regional as the Bearcats earned the #2 Seed, its highest seed of the DII era. The Bearcats finished the GLVC Tournament in the final with a draw before falling in penalty kicks, continuing its one-loss campaign this fall while pushing through to its ninth-straight NCAA DII National Tournament appearance. On Friday, November 21, No.19/#2 Seed McKendree will host #7 Seed Missouri-St. Louis in the first round  at 3:00PM after hosting the #3/#6 match up between Ashland and Drury at noon. The Bearcats lone loss of the 2025 campaign came at the hands of its first round adversary, a close battle which ended 1-0 in favor of the Tritons.

The Bearcats claimed another GLVC Regular Season title this fall before making a third-straight GLVC Tournament Championship appearance, accumulating a 13-1-6 overall record in the process. McKendree not only upheld its standard of being the standard but outshined a multitude of expectations in the process. Individually, four Bearcats collected postseason honors from the conference with three First Team All-GLVC selections in junior midfielder Maggie Gleckler, junior defender Zoe Cormier, and sophomore forward Maddie Mauch while graduate defender Lexie Munoz earned Third Team All-GLVC. The year also saw McKendree record a 10th-straight season with 12-plus wins to earn its ninth-straight NCAA Tournament nod (no national tourament in the spring 2021 season), while marking an 11th-straight campaign with a winning record in GLVC action.
