Seven-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles is expressing her support for women’s sports and the WNBA. She attended her first league game on Wednesday night, traveling to Indianapolis to watch the Connecticut Sun take on the Indiana Fever.
Biles, a legendary Olympian, was present at the game and had the opportunity to witness some of the top players in the league in action. The Fever’s Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, and Kelsey Mitchell impressed as they defeated the Sun 84-80, showcasing their talents.
“Everyone watches women’s sports,” Biles tweeted following the game. “So happy to show my support! This was just the beginning of my WNBA game attendance.”
After the game, Biles visited the locker room to meet some of the WNBA’s biggest stars, leaving the Fever players starstruck by her presence.
Attending the Fever game on a special night, Biles witnessed Clark making history by breaking the rookie record for most 3-pointers in a season.
Clark surpassed the rookie record for most 3-pointers in a season with her impressive performance, setting a new standard with nine games remaining in the schedule.
Additionally, Aliyah Boston reached a career milestone by scoring her 1,000th point with the Fever, highlighting her success as a two-time WNBA All-Star and the 2023 Rookie of the Year.
Biles has expressed her intention to attend more WNBA games in the future, leaving fans excited to see which games she will choose next.
