Quintet to leave Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of the season

Five players will leave Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of the season when their contracts come to an end.

The Seagulls confirmed the scheduled departures via a post on their official club website earlier today.

It has been reported that Poppy Pattinson, Maria Thorisdottir, Guro Bergsvand, Dejana Stefanović and Pauline Bremer are all moving on this summer.

Defenders Pattinson, Bergsvand and Stefanović are in their third seasons with Brighton & Hove Albion. Norwegian international Bergsvand has been an ever-present for The Seagulls in the last two campaigns while full-back Pattinson has also featured regularly in the team. Stefanović has struggled to make an impact at the Sussux club with injuries not helping her cause. Thorisdottir and Bremer joined the club in summer 2023 and have been regulars in the Brighton & Hove Albion squad.

After the quintet’s exits were confirmed, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “These five players have been a great support to me in my first season as head coach and have been fine servants of the club.

“They have always represented Brighton & Hove Albion in the right way on the pitch, on the training ground and in the way they have conducted themselves day-to-day.

“On behalf of everyone at Brighton & Hove Albion, I’d like to wish Guro, Maria, Pauline, Poppy and Dejana all the best for their futures and they know they will always be welcome visitors to the club.”
