JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women’s soccer’s Zara Siassi broke the UNF record for career starts as the Ospreys (5-3-6, 2-1-3 ASUN) drew 1-1 with Lipscomb (7-3-3, 3-1-2 ASUN) on Sunday afternoon at Hodges Stadium.
Paige McSwigan made it consecutive games with a goal, recording her sixth strike of the season in the 17th minute from a long distance effort after Brialyn Anderson made a great challenge on the Lipscomb defender. The Bison would equalize in the 82nd minute on a long-range free-kick from Bella Carapazza that found its way past Sofia Miliancano.
Siassi made her 76th consecutive start for the Ospreys on Sunday, breaking the program record for career starts, which was set at 75. The record was previously held by Kristin Lazowick, who played for the Ospreys from 2007-2010. She is just four appearances away from breaking the all-time appearance record for UNF, which currently sits at 79.

First Half: It was an even opening 10 minutes to the contest with both sides growing into the game … in the 17th minute Brialyn Anderson won the ball at midfield with a solid challenge, finding the feet of Paige McSwigan, who ripped a shot from distance to give the Ospreys the lead … the Bison pushed for an equalizer, but the Osprey defense stood tall … Despite Lipscomb outshooting the Ospreys 4-1 in the first-half, UNF took a one-goal advantage into the break.
Second Half: McSwigan had an early opportunity out of the half to extend the Ospreys lead, but her shot drifted wide … Lipscomb continued to pressure the Osprey goal, taking six shots in the span of 12 minutes, unable to convert … Sofia Miliancano came up big in the 64th minute, making a point-blank stop following a shot from Maddy Rhodes … Lipscomb found an equalizer in the 82nd minute off of a free-kick from Bella Carapazza that slipped through the hands of Miliancano … the Ospreys were able to hold off the Bison attack for the remaining eight minutes to secure the point and to remain undefeated in games played at Hodges Stadium this season.
