United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – North Florida women’s soccer’s Zara Siassi brought home yet another postseason laurel, as she was named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Scholar All-American First-Team as announced by the national organization on Thursday, Dec. 19. Siassi is just the second player in program history to earn the honor since Ariana Munoz was selected to the USC Scholar All-American Second-Team back in the spring of 2021. She is also just one of ten student-athletes to be named both an All-American and Scholar All-American by the United Soccer Coaches.

“To be honored as both a Scholar All-American and an All-American by the United Soccer Coaches organization is a tremendous honor for Zara and our UNF women’s soccer program.” said head coach Eric Faulconer. “She has been a model student-athlete during her career here. I am thrilled she is seeing the recognition for all the hard work she has put in both on the field and in the classroom. We are looking forward to seeing Zara honored at the Chicago USC Convention in January.”

The Lake Worth, Fla. native was also recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as an All-American back on Dec. 7, making the fourth-team. She was also named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third-Team, becoming the first player in program history to receive the recognition from CSC, while also making the Academic All-District Team. Siassi had arguably the best season of her collegiate career, being named ASUN Defensive Player of the Year, becoming the first player in program history to receive the honor. She was also selected to the All-ASUN First-Team and the All-Academic Team. In her final season, she led the team in minutes played and was tied for the team-high in assists with three. She scored a penalty kick against Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 20. Siassi was honored alongside teammate Paige McSwigan, being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First-Team. She holds the all-time program record for career starts with 82. Her 82 career games and starts are the highest in the program’s Division I era.
