Stalker 2 will also be released on the PS5 and PS5 Pro, developer GSC Game World  has revealed this on X. There is no specific release date yet, but the PS5 version will be released at the end of 2025.

The PS5 version is said to utilize many features of the DualSense controller and offer some technical improvements . However, we will have to be patient for further details Stalker 2 is already listed in the PS5 store so you can easily add the shooter to your wish list.

Stalker 2 was released on November 20, 2024 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. Since its announcement, the shooter has been postponed several times. This was partly due to the unpredictable development of the war in Ukraine.

Stalker 2 is available for release on PC and Xbox Series X and S. The shooter is now also due to be released on PS5 at the end of 2025. On PC, Stalker 2 is available on Steam, in the Epic Games Store, in the Microsoft Store and on GOG.

Multiplayer: Is there a Stalker 2 multiplayer?

The multiplayer is to be delivered later as a free update.

What exactly the multiplayer will contain and how extensive it will be is still not known. However, it is conceivable that at least a deathmatch mode will be offered, as in the predecessors.

However, the multiplayer mode is likely to be a low priority at first. Since the release, the developers have been working on fixing the most serious errors and bugs. Now they also want to concentrate on content changes – there has been no mention of multiplayer so far.

Modifications: Does Stalker 2 have mods?

Stalker 2 has now received official mod support for PC and Xbox Series X/S. This means that modifications can be easily downloaded and installed.

While PC players have been able to use mods for some time, mod support for Xbox Series X/S was only introduced with the Guns and Looting update on June 26, 2025. The use of mods on the Xbox also disables achievements.
