Matthew Tyndall and Alan White engage in a spontaneous fight this afternoon.
The test has been arranged to help the Bray youngster earn the opportunity to fight Senan Kelly for the Irish title on October 4.
If the former standout from amateur underage boxing passes White’s test, the BUI will approve the Wicklow prospect to face Kelly for the championship title, and the two will battle it out in the ring at JB Promotions’ upcoming event.
Leixlip’s Kelly was originally set to fight Declan Geraghty for the title on the Make or Break card. However, ‘Pretty Boy’ had to withdraw, leading Byrne to make the bold decision of pitting the Wicklow youngster against the experienced BUI Celtic title holder.
This sets the stage for an exciting headline battle between Kelly, a fighter prepared to advance to the next level, and a promising young talent who made his debut less than a year ago.
Both fighters deserve recognition for stepping up to the challenge, especially Kelly, as the risk may outweigh the potential reward, all under the banner of JB Promotions.
