Kayla Harrison and Merab Dvalishvili put on a pair of standout performances to win their championship bouts Saturday at UFC 316.
In the main event of the evening, men’s bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili submitted Sean O’Malley to score a second victory over his rival, while Kayla Harrison put on a dominant performance against Julianna Peña in the co-main event to become the new women’s bantamweight champion.
For their efforts, the winners were rewarded with $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses.
No Fight of the Night bonus was given, meaning there were two more performance bonuses, which went to Kevin Holland, making his third appearance of 2025, and UFC debutant Joo Sang Yoo.
Holland showed off his grappling skills to open the main card as he scored a slick submission of Vicente Luque. This is Holland’s ninth Performance of the Night bonus.
Yoo made an incredible first octagon impression by needing just one punch to knock out Jeka Saragih. The South Korean fighter improved to 9-0 with the win.
