The Buffalo State women’s soccer team, under the leadership of Greg Margolis, has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming 2024 season. The Bengals are set to play a total of 17 games, with nine of them taking place at home. After achieving a winning record last year, the team is aiming to secure a playoff spot, especially with two new teams in the conference this year.
Â
The season kicks off with eight non-conference matchups. It begins with an away game against Keuka on August 30th, followed by a home game against Chatham on August 31st. Buffalo State will then play at home against St. John Fisher on September 4th, followed by away games against Hilbert (Sept. 7th) and Brockport (Sept. 11th). Margolis’ squad will return home to face off against the University of Rochester (Sept. 14th), Houghton (Sept. 17th), and St. Lawrence (Sept. 21st) to wrap up the non-conference schedule.

In SUNYAC play, the Bengals start at home against Potsdam on September 28th, then travel to face Morrisville on October 2nd. They will host another conference newcomer, Canton, on October 5th, before a home game against rival Fredonia (October 9th) in the “Battle by the Lake”.
Â
The final stretch of conference matches includes matchups against last year’s championship contenders. The Bengals will travel to Plattsburgh on October 12th, followed by a game at Oneonta on October 16th. They will then host New Paltz on October 19th for their final home game, before finishing the regular season on the road against Oswego (October 23rd) and Cortland, the reigning SUNYAC champions.

The SUNYAC Tournament is scheduled from November 2nd to November 9th, with Buffalo State aiming for their first title since 2016.
