CHARLOTTE, N.C. – North Florida women’s soccer’s Brooklynn Fugel scored her first goal of the season as the Ospreys (5-3-4, 2-1-1 ASUN) played to a 1-1 draw at Queens (5-5-1, 1-1-2 ASUN) on Sunday afternoon.
Fugel led all players in shots taken with five total, finding her goal with just one second before the halftime whistle. Following a quick throw-in from Julia Cosgrove, freshman Sarah Frazer played a pass to Fugel, who slotted a shot past the keeper for the lead.
Despite outshooting the Royals by 11, Queens found a late equalizer with just eight minutes to go, resulting in both teams earning a point in conference play.

Second Half: UNF continued to pile on the pressure right out of the break with Brialyn Anderson and Zara Siassi both having shots blocked in the first five minutes of the second period … in the 57th minute Brooke Susi played a ball over the top to Allie Fekany, who couldn’t finish her one-on-one with Jargstorf … in the 65th minute, a Queens corner kick found the head of Julia Hunter, but her effort was thwarted by Miliancano … the Royals found a late equalizer in the 82nd minute through Sophia Muetterties following a scramble in the Osprey penalty box … despite outshooting Queens 15-4, the Ospreys were unable to find a match-winner, with the match concluding in a draw.
