Support Pouring in for Fever Guard After Troubling Injury Update on Thursday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is out of action again in Thursday’s matchup against the Phoenix Mercury. This is the ninth straight game the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year has been forced to sit out as she continues to recover from a lingering right groin injury.

The bad news for the Fever is that veteran Sydney Colson appears to be joining Clark on the injury list. This is after the 5-foot-8 guard slipped and fell in front of the bench during Thursday’s game. Colson looked like she was in considerable pain and had to be helped to the locker room immediately after the injury.
It did not take long for the Fever to provide an update on Colson’s status. They announced via social media that the 36-year-old has suffered a left leg injury and has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

This does not come as a surprise, considering how Colson was writhing in pain on the floor. The fans on social media have expressed their concern about this troubling development as they offered their support for Colson.
“Heartbreaking! 💔 Sending Syd prayers for a healthy and speedy recovery. ❤️🩹 🙏,” a comment on X read.
“TELL HER WE LOVE HER. ❤️🩹,” said another.
“oh noooo not Syd!! prayers up baby🙏🙏🙏🙏,” a user posted.

“I’m praying Colson is well really soon…🙏🏽🙏🏽,” another fan chimed in.
“Fans cheering for your recovery Syd,” another said.
“Praying for her,” wrote a fan.
Colson is expected to undergo tests to determine the extent of the injury, which, in turn, should determine if the veteran will need to miss time. For now, supporters have no other choice but to hope for the best.
